Meet our board

John Kim

Board Member

John Kim is a co-founder and Managing Partner of HighBar Partners. Prior to HighBar, Mr. Kim was with W Capital Partners, a private equity fund with over $1 billion under management that makes direct investments in growth equity technology companies. Prior to W Capital, Mr. Kim was Director of Corporate Development at Zeborg (acquired by Emptoris), a venture-backed enterprise software company spun off from The Mitchell Madison Group. He was also Director of Investments at ISL Management, a venture capital firm funded by JPMorgan dedicated to early stage software and financial service investments.  Prior thereto, Mr. Kim was an investment banker with JPMorgan Chase and Robertson Stephens. Mr. Kim holds a BS in Economics from The University of Chicago and an MBA, with Honors, from Columbia Business School.

Roy Thiele-Sardiña

Board Member

Roy Thiele-Sardiña is a co-founder and Managing Partner of HighBar Partners. Over the last 25 years, he has founded, invested in and held senior management positions at numerous prominent companies in the technology industry. Mr. Thiele-Sardina began his career as an early employee of Sun Microsystems, leading it’s Telco sales operation. He later led sales in Intercontinental Operations (Asia, Japan, Latin America and EMEA). He ended his 11 year career at Sun as the VP of Corporate Development in the Office of the Chairman. He was a member of the founding management team at Brocade Communications (NASDAQ: BRCD) as VP of Sales and Business Management. He was the Co-Founder and CEO of Tasmania Networks, a cache proxy company (acquired by Cisco); the CEO and Co-Founder of Ingrian Networks (acquired by SafeNet); and the Chairman of NeoPath Networks (acquired by Cisco). Mr. Thiele-Sardiña holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he was a GM Scholar, and a MBA from The Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.

Clay Marr

Co-founder & Board Member

As a co-founder and first CEO of Load DynamiX, Clay Marr is in charge of the company’s strategic initiatives and new growth opportunities. Clay has enjoyed a varied career as a CEO, general manager, as well as a sales and marketing executive. He started his career with large technology leaders (Fairchild, Philips and Adaptec); led a number of technology start-ups (including Plus Logic, RadioLAN, and DRC) and served on several boards including Fiddle Games. Clay received his BS in Aeronautical Engineering from Purdue University and MBA from Santa Clara University.

Paul Weinstein

Board Member

Paul Weinstein is a founding General Partner at Azure Capital Partners, a San Francisco-based venture capital firm with over $750 million under management. With over 25 years of investment experience, Paul’s primary investment focus is on communications technology, data center, cloud infrastructure and applications and mobility solutions. He received his BS degree in Finance from Babson College, where he graduated with highest honors. Paul has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Philippe Vincent

President & Chief Executive Officer, Board Member

Philippe Vincent brings over 20 years of experience in technology industries. Philippe held senior executive positions with BigFix, IBM and Accenture. During his tenure at BigFix, he led several business functions and drove strategy and operations across the company. He helped drive BigFix to a leadership position in the Systems and Security Management markets, and a successful sale to IBM in 2010. At IBM, Philippe helped lead the integration of BigFix into the Tivoli business unit. Before BigFix, he was a Partner with Accenture’s High Tech strategy practice, and a leader of its Software practice. Philippe began his career with engineering positions at Alcatel and PSA Peugeot Citroen. He earned his MBA from Harvard Business School, MS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and Diplome d’Ingenieur from ENSAM (France).
